As we conclude the academic year, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of you at the SCI School for your dedication and important contributions throughout the year. Together, we continue to build a strong foundation for education and research. I wish you all a restful and well-deserved summer, with time to recharge and reflect.
| SCI Summer Mingle 2026: An Evening to Celebrate Science and CommunityLaughter, conversations and a sense of summer filled the atrium at Alba Nova as the School of Engineering Sciences gathered for this year’s SCI Summer Mingle. Colleagues from across the school came together to round off the academic year, with new connections, reunions and a shared pride in all that has been accomplished. More than just theory – the
Physics Student Association trip to CERN
The Physics Chapter’s annual student trip to CERN gives KTH students valuable insight into how modern particle physics and international research collaboration operate in practice. Through meetings with researchers and visits to experiments such as ATLAS, the trip strengthens the link between education and research and helps students better understand future study choices and career paths.

More about the event and how to register. | New language policySince 5 May 2026 KTH has a new Language Policy for KTH ( Swedish version), which entered into force on 1 June 2026. It replaces the previous Guidelines for Language Use at KTH. Work is currently underway by the KTH Language Committee to develop new Guidelines for Language and Language Use. More information.

| Nomination Committee begins preparations for the autumn elections to the Faculty Boards Preparations for the autumn elections of new teacher representatives to the schools’ Faculty Boards have now begun. More information about the nomination process and the elections will be provided later, but this is already a good time to start considering suitable candidates. The term of office of the current six teacher representatives on each school’s Faculty Board expires at the end of the year. New members will therefore be elected for the period 1 January 2027 - 31 December 2029. The Nomination Committee has now commenced its work. The nomination period runs from 17 to 31 August, during which employees, students and other members of the KTH community may nominate candidates. All nominees must have been consulted and must have accepted their nomination. Further information about the nomination process and the elections will be published on the KTH intranet and in the schools’ newsletters in August. Voting will be possible electronically from 23 October until 2 November 2026.

Access card office's opening hours during summer The access card office will move from Drottning Kristinas väg 48 to Brinellvägen 8 during week 25 (June 15-21). During that week, response times may be slightly longer. After the move, contractors will collect cards and/or keys from the reception at Brinellvägen 8 (employees and students will go to KTH Entré as usual). The access card office is closed during weeks 29-30 (July 13-July 24). Urgent matters will be handled during that period, but others will be handled from week 31. Urgent problems with doors or similar will be handled via KTH's security support as usual.

You can find the cages here. | | Vetenskapens hus calls for interior that encourages research Vetenskapens hus' new premises and labs in Kista are to be Furnished. The ambition is an environment that encourages visiting students to explore. Anyone who has models, equipment or similar that can be used to attract students from grade 4 to high school into science and technology can use this form (Swedish) or contact Johan Lundberg.
