Rats and drain flies led to work stoppage at Bergs
In mid-June, Jens Fridh, chief safety representative at the ITM school, imposed a suspension of work in a couple of premises in the Bergs building at Brinellvägen 23. Rats, an extremely nauseating smell, and large numbers of drain flies in the basement made the working environment unbearable.

Heroes of the summer
While many of us were relaxing on the beach, others stayed on campus and took on the role of movers.
Jeanette Löfgren and Jessica Matz worked more or less the entire summer and made sure that all the furniture from Södertälje ended up in the right place in the Machine Quarter. True heroes – stepping in and solving problems along the way, like when the moving company simply unloaded all the furniture and boxes without putting them in order. | | | | |
Welcome to ITM! Our new stars:- Rita Nou, Research Communicator for ITM
- Frida Piquer, Officer in the project group at Finance ITM
- Tugba Danaci, PostDoc at the unit of Manufacturing & Metrology Systems.
| | | | | Service force reducedPlease be patient with ITM's caretakers, as the work force is halved for a period ahead. Christoffer and Hasse will need to prioritize incoming cases according to the needs of the faculty, which is why less urgent cases will take longer than usual. All furniture moves will be outsourced to moving companies. Now we keep our fingers crossed for a successful recruitment. | | | | |
