Amelie on KTH’s new employment proceduresA draft of new employment procedures for KTH has now been presented, and the schools have the opportunity to submit comments. The document includes proposals for new types of faculty positions and roles, such as associate professor outside the academic career track and infrastructure specialist. Christer Gummeson, KTH | SciLifeLab is building for the future of research
The SciLifeLab research infrastructure is expanding. Under a new lease agreement signed by KTH with Akademiska Hus, the floor space at Campus Solna will increase by 50 per cent. The aim is to create a world-leading research environment.
“The finalisation of this agreement is a milestone for the development of SciLifeLab, and we are now looking forward to bringing the whole project to fruition,” says Anders Söderholm, President of KTH.

Research at KTH has taken an important step toward fighting potato late blight, a plant disease that once triggered an historic famine in Ireland and now threatens to spread globally due to climate change.
"We've shown that this pathogen depends on a specific internal process to grow, and that a specially designed peptide can switch it off," says Vaibhav Srivastava, a glycoscience researcher at KTH. A new study by researchers at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Karolinska Institutet details these new findings.
